Ellen’s practices expresses her personal curiosity about our temporal existence on earth depicted against the heavenly forces.

No shape on this earth is perfect. Thus Plato.

What we make is only a shadow of the real other world.

How can we approach the purest form?

Ellen's survival in this world, is to worship perfect curves.

She hates triangles and boxes.

All her figures make you want to touch them and sense the curves.

The white alabaster feels light and symbolizes purity.

Ellen studied Latin and Ancient Greek and obtained a summa cum laude degree in Sciences of Communications Studies.

She grew up in Antwerp as the only child of a handmade paper artist and a chemical engineer who later became an art photographer.

She has been living in the Netherlands for 25 years, where she has her studio, and she can regularly be found in France.
